This project shows an easy way to mount a deer scull.
How to mount a deer skull on the wall.
Skin the hide down and away from the skull and around the eye socket on both sides of the skull.
Step 1 mark the placement for two small holes on the back of the steer skull directly behind the eye sockets.
Start on top with a length wise incision through the hide from the base of the skull to the tip of the nose.
Use a drill bit slightly smaller than the screws so that the screws do not slip or shift after the skull is mounted on the wall.
Place the deer skull by attaching it to the screw through the big hole which is already present on the back of the skull.
Next use a 4 inch all purpose screw or hooks which are available for sale.
The anchor in the plaque just prior to placing the skull down on it.
It was soaked in bleach and wa.
Drill carefully into the skull at those points with a power drill.
Tighten just to the point where everything is solid do not over tighten.
Once in simply tighten up the screw from the back side of the plaque and the skull will begin to press down tight against the front of the plaque.
Position the screw at 45 degrees angle.
The hardest part is the top of the skull around the antler pedicles where the hide is tough and thick.
First you need a stud finder to find a stud on the wall.
