Call your furry friend over and get him to give paw or shake depending on which version you ve taught him until his paw touches your fist and the door.
You may even need to take the doggie doorframe off the door for a bit and practice pup just going through the doggie door frame without the flap on it with you holding it before adding it back to the door without the flap then adding the flap finally using treats to lure pup through each new step.
