Look for a recessed slot in the shaft of the handle.
How to take off door handles that have no screws.
Once triggered the lever or lock trim can be removed from the door.
Take your flat philips screwdriver and place it in the gap.
If any screws are exposed during this process remove them to release the lock and remove it from the door.
Apply a bit of pressure to the paper clip to trigger a release button inside the hardware.
Remove door knob without screws.
If not rotate the faceplate until the underlying screws are accessible and use a phillips head screwdriver to remove them.
Removing the lower connection.
Push the tip of a narrow screwdriver into the hole.
There should be a small latch near the base of the knob or handle probably on the exterior side of the door.
Straighten a paper clip and insert it into the hole.
If your door has no visible screws check the neck of the knob or lever for a small hole.
Locate the hole underneath the doorknob shaft.

If you can t see any screws don t worry they re there.
But you ll have to take the knob off first.
Loosen these screws and turn the plate clockwise to release it.
Many door handles have visible screws on the trim plate on one side of the door.
Set that aside and then continue removing the screws.
Look for the tiny gap on the side of the door knob.
Simply unscrew these screws unscrew the latch from the door edge and remove all the pieces.
Turn each screw holding the knob body.
You should see a tiny slot or hole.
Depending on the door handle design the faceplate may be able to slide completely off.
If there s one present you ll be able to depress a button or loosen a small screw inside the hole to release the handle.
Once you have the interior knob removed you will then have access to the interior screws that are holding the plate and the exterior handle in place.
Slide the cosmetic faceplate away from the door.
Some styles of door knob will have another thin slot that requires a small screwdriver to free the cover from the door.
With some pressure you can move the clip inside.
Push this latch in and pull the handle off the door.
After you ve unscrewed or loosened the latch tug on the door knob until it pops out of place or disengages from the base also known as the rose.
Pull the rose cover off the knob body.
