Step 1 unscrew the door lever handle in order to get at the screws that hold the handle to the door you need to expose them by removing the plate that surrounds the lever handle also known as a rose.

If you can t see any screws don t worry they re there.
Use a philips head screwdriver to unscrew them.

Slide the cosmetic faceplate away from the door.

Remove the faceplate by grasping and pulling outward along the shaft.
