Don t worry removing a door from its hinges is an easy task that can be done in under a minute.
How to remove a door from its hinges when it is locked.
If the weight of the door makes it difficult to separate the hinges wedge a pry bar under the door to take the weight off the hinges.
Take the door off the hinges.
After the pins are removed from all the hinges a small pry bar or a claw hammer can be used to start pulling out the sash from its frame very slowly as shown in figure 6.
Use a thin flat screwdriver to pry off the round decorative plate also sometimes referred to as a rose to reveal the lockset mounting screws.
If the door does not allow the lock to be jimmied open it may be necessary to remove the door from its hinges.
Put the flat end of the nail against the pin and tap it up with the hammer.
Unscrew and finish use a drill driver to remove the longer mounting screws.

Insert a long sturdy item with a flat tip preferably a flat head screwdriver if available between the top rung of the door s top hinge and the head of the bolt securing the door to the hinge.
Force the pin up from the door hinge.
