Connect the door to the jamb. Remove the hinge and use the screwdriver to carefully indent the screws pencil markings. There are two doors that rub slightly but that s just a quick sand and touch up paint away. This will secure the door in place.

Initially we just put all the hinges in exactly but on this particular door that we were sure didn t fit we hung it one last time and pushed it hard to the side a little and it opens and closes beautifully. Line the hinges up with those holes and use a hand drive screwdriver to attach them.

Saturday from 8 a m. If the recess is too deep the hinge will loosen from the door when it s closed. Loosen the screws if necessary to bring the jamb back into plumb. Install the other half of the hinge along the pencil markings on the door.
